The most recent Diablo IV Gold cinematic trailer from Blizzard includes Inarius fighting Lilith as well as armies at both sides. Although the scene doesn't show Tyrael's direct involvementin the story, his involvement in the creation of Horadrim as well as his influence on the Paladins of Sanctuary implies that he's definitely involved. Light and dark battle on the battlefield, and now-dead Tyrael resides somewhere in the middle.
His presence will be experienced through these intermediaries unless events cause him to act. Tyrael continues to feel the consequences of the destruction of the Worldstone at the end in Diablo 2. That mystical artifact protected Sanctuary from Heaven and Hell and now protects the land as its successor. Tyrael doesn't appear to be leading any further actions into Hell or venture much further beyond The Pandemonium Fortress, where he may provide advice similar to Deckard Cain for those who will stay and listen.
Five different Diablo classes that can be played have been released so far They all are variants of earlier games. Given each installment so far has introduced something new maybe Tyrael might become a part of the battle to balance the two sides by providing players with the ability to gain angelic or demon-like powers in exchange for duties to Sanctuary. This type of mechanic could very easily build on the multi-tree advancement already announced for the series.
It's doubtful that Blizzard will make Angels and Demons into classes as the franchise centers those who are caught between the two. But as a mortal stuck between Heaven and Hell, Tyrael sits in an unimaginable position in the entire Diablo lore. He's more likely to play a balancing act throughout the story, and maybe even the voice of reason instead of a partisan as previously. When he's not forced to pick the side of his opponent, Tyrael has come to understand the true value of the mortals and that's how he will most likely take part in the events in Diablo 4.
The method used by Blizzard to specify the character of Diablo 4 is a blend of the style of the studio's Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. The the executive producer and director of the Diablo franchise Rod Fergusson put it, "Diablo 2 was like locking yourself in; you were able to switch your specs every time you faced a challenge. In D3, you kind altered your appearance as if you changed your clothes. Everything was gear-based as opposed to skill-based."Fergusson added, "I think the fact that we have skills on the equipment [in buy Diablo 4 Gold is really nice for experimentation -- as a sorceress I [might] get Blizzard [on a pair of boots] three levels before I should and I can try Blizzard to see if I actually want it."
