Genshin Impact has released a brand new piece of official art to celebrate the Eastern European Maslenitsa Festival, having a popular character in the game's Snezhnaya region. The massively popular RPG from HoYoverse has often featured new and exclusive art to celebrate several holidays all over the world. Past art in the developer has honored festivities such as the Thai Songkran Festival and also the Lunar New Year amongst others. Now, the most recent art from HoYoverse honors a festival held throughout Eastern Slavic countries.
While very little has been revealed yet about Genshin Impact's northernmost region of Snezhnaya, players have previously gotten a teaser of the items to expect in the frigid region. Snezhnaya has been said to be inspired by the landscapes of Russia and, particularly, the Siberia region with perpetual blizzards and hostile conditions. Players have previously met multiple characters hailing from Snezhnaya using the game's primary antagonists, the Fatui, hailing in the region and something playable character from Snezhnaya. Now, Snezhnaya's Tartaglia takes the spotlight in a brand new art from Genshin Impact celebrating the Maslenitsa Festival.
The newest update from Genshin Impact's Russian-language Twitter account shares a unique art bit of Tartaglia and the brother, Teucer, for that Maslenitsa Festival. The art depicts Tartaglia preparing a crepe for his younger brother, featuring other pastries inspired by Genshin Impact's Ruin enemies. Maslenitsa, also called Crepe Week, is a week-long holiday celebrated in several Eastern Slavic countries including Russia and Ukraine over the last week before Great Lent.
Genshin Impact's celebratory art for Maslenitsa also may come as one of the first official depictions of the location inside the Snezhnaya region. While Snezhnaya has featured heavily throughout Genshin Impact's story, particularly with the Fatui, players it's still waiting some time before visiting the frigid north of Teyvat. Snezhnaya was once introduced because the final of Genshin Impact's seven main regions players will visit, using the arctic locale likely not debuting until 2025. Little information away from Fatui continues to be revealed about Snezhnaya apart from its reference to Katheryne and also the Adventurer's Guild.
While the discharge of Snezhnaya looks to become several years away, players likely won't need to wait for miss Genshin Impact's next region. The France-inspired region of Fontaine, the place to find the Hydro Archon, is anticipated to debut sometime during 2023. Fontaine has been said to be highly technologically advanced and it has already seen numerous references through the game, using the in-game Kamera said to become created in Fontaine.
