Since BlizzCon has ended, we've released numerous breakouts and details about the game. Here's a collection of information and D2R Ladder Items announcements we've picked up during the show. "We've seen a flurry of community feedback that requests this feature for both mouse and keyboard play, as well. We initially didn't want to implement this feature because we feared it would be too different from the original experience, but the users are eager for it, and we're eager to deliver."
When the patch 2.3. players can turn on an Active Skill bindings bar that will also display a second skill bar above the standard HUD. It is possible to map up to 16 abilities in this method, and should they opt to activate this option, it will instantly use the abilities. Quick Cast Skills option, pressing the buttons will instantly use the abilities, instead of re-mapping them to the right or left mouse buttons.
It's a huge shift for the game, however, one that will make Diablo: Resurrected go a considerable distance towards being more modern , while staying in line with many of the game's other quirks and nuances.
Other updates to be included in patch 2.3 include an offline option for console gamers with the ability to manually increase the difficulty of the game as if as many as eight additional players were in the game. Diablo's next update will add audio, graphic and UI enhancements.
The announcement by Blizzard of a PTR on Diablo: Resurrected seems to indicate that additional modifications and updates are on the way. No word yet on the exact date when the PTR will become available, but Blizzard affirms that all players will be able to participate. The primary goal of the PTR will be to fix the persistent issues with databases and servers that have plagued the game since its it's release. In Buy D2R Ladder Items the following weeks, Blizzard writes that they will "share more information on Ladder rank play and even additional new features coming into Diablo: Resurrected."
