How to Start The Maven Quest
To start The Maven Quest, players will have to encounter an NPC called The Envoy (see image). But, to find The Envoy players explore Yellow Maps (T6+). Once found, The Envoy asks the player to get rid of the current map boss (any solo class will have the ability to take them down simply enough), which will drop The Maven's Beacon. (in Permanent Leagues The Envoy can give The Maven's Beacon while not having to kill a boss).
Players must upgrade their Map Device (obtained after completing The Chamber of Sins in Act 7) using the beacon. The Map Device will have a button that'll summon Maven, allowing her to look at a map. But, players won't need to fight her yet, instead, they'll need her to witness them slay three bosses throughout various tiers.
Defeating Bosses and Accessing Maven's Crucible
Once players use The Maven's Beacon to summon Maven, they'll have to defeat a particular number of bosses on various Tier maps. Maven will give the ball player The Maven's Invitation: The Atlas, teleporting them into Maven's Crucible.
How to Fight The Maven
Before players can fight The Maven, they'll have to collect 10 Crescent Splinters. But, Crescent Splinters only drop from The Crucible Area Level 83, meaning players will have to farm this Crucible Area many times. Once players obtain 10 Crescent Splinters they can craft The Maven's Writ (there is a slight opportunity for Maven's Writ to decrease from Crucible Area Level 83) which is the item that allows players to battle The Maven in the Crucible.
The Maven is going to be quite difficult to face, but a well-built Scion Class can manage well against her. After defeating The Maven, the quest is going to be complete, but players can fight her again once they have The Maven's Writ.
