#tiktokban #ussenate #worldbusinesswatchSituated on the fringes of Cornwall and Devon, the market town of Launceston has a rich heritage. Once the capital of Cornwall, the castle stands proudly above the town serving as a reassuring reminder of the town’s history.
The town’s location astride the A30 makes it ideal for commuting. Plymouth is approximately 25 miles away and Exeter, Barnstaple and Truro are 40-45 miles away. The nearest train stations are at Okehampton and Bodmin Parkway, offering mainline connections via London Paddington. International airports can be found at Exeter and Newquay, with a cross-channel ferry service to Northern France and Spain from Plymouth.
Launceston is also well-placed for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are within 12 miles, and the North and South Cornish coasts are 17 and 24 miles away respectively.
The town itself offers a variety of social, domestic, commercial and educational facilities. Supermarkets include Tesco, Co-Op, Lidl, Iceland and M&S Food Hall. There are 4 primary schools in Launceston town with numerous rural primary schools in the surrounding villages. Launceston College provides education to A-level.
Healthcare includes a hospital, dentists and doctors’ surgery, in addition to local village doctor’s surgeries.
