Advice required
I ordered a takeaway through a well known app. The app notified me this restaurant isnt taking orders after i had already placed an order and they had taken my money already. I requested a refund but it was a whole big deal, eventually my bank said they would give me a refund in 24 to 48 hours, fine and i ended up just quickly making some pasta and having that for dinner instead. About 45 minutes later, my doorbell rings. Open the door and its a chap with a takeaway bag. I tell him i cannot accept the food as the order was declined and have already asked my bank for a refund so it wouldn't be right for me to take the takeaway.
He proceeds to tell me that I can just hand him the money instead. I told him i
I dont want it after all, which he then gets aggistated and says I am messing him around and he only gets paid per delivery, so if I don't pay up, he is going to kick off. I told him I am not wanting it, thank youv, and shut the door over. He began to bang my door yelling. At this point, my husband appears on the driveway, after work, absolutely furious with the delivery driver. He doesnt know whats happened because he pulled up, after i had closed the door over. I can hear yelling through the door, and sounds like its getting quite hairy out there. I grab my phone and call the police as i can hear the delivery driver yelling what he is going to do our house and our family. My husband gives him a shove and comes inside the house to tell me to call the police. By this point delivery driver jumps into his small battered car and drives off only letting us get half the license plate. Police come and they go to the restaurant to chase up the driver. The manager says its a massive mistake, as theyre not serving food this evening, and no idea who this guy is. Whilst the police are investigating this matter i have been told to not order anything from this restaurant. Such a bizzare situation.
