Thousands of people are demonstrating against the so-called "foreign influence" law in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. Organizations that receive foreign funding will be required by law to register as "foreign agents." Some who oppose it claim that it might be used to suppress oppositional groups and harm Georgia's hopes of enlisting in the EU. Former Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Thornike Gordadze was responsible for the country's relations with the EU. He claims former prime minister Bidzina Ivanishvili is coordinating the government's action.
Meta stock falls as investors are disappointed by the AI spending forecast.
Following the announcement of the company's first-quarter results report, Meta's stock price plummeted. Forecasts of lower-than-expected revenue and increased expenses caused investors to react unfavorably.
