Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City is surrounded by Israeli forces. Within the medical facility, there have been reports of fatalities and injuries. A video that has been posted online depicts a large number of Palestinians leaving the facility. Hundreds of displaced people, medical personnel, and patients are taking refuge. The health ministry in Gaza issued a statement in which it declared that the lives of medical personnel, patients, and internally displaced persons within the medical complex were the responsibility of the Israeli occupation. Using made-up stories to "deceive the world and justify the storming of al-Shifa," it goes on to declare that the Israeli operation is a blatant breach of international humanitarian law.
