Rwanda will observe a week of grief to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1994 genocide.
Rwanda is commemorating thirty years since the 1994 genocide there as Israel conducts its attack on Gaza, which the International Court of Justice has deemed to be a "plausible case of genocide." President Paul Kagame used the event to draw attention to the shortcomings of the global community. The world observed the slaughter of over 800,000 moderate Hutu and Tutsi people thirty years ago.
