The first significant central bank in the developed world to lower interest rates this cycle was the Swiss National Bank (SN. It seems that a more substantial decline in inflation than anticipated is the main cause of the SNB's movement.

In the general elections, the Social Democratic Alliance Party of Portugal declared victory. It comes after an extremely close race against the departing Socialist Party. The center-right may now have to think about forming a coalition with Chega, Portugal's emerging far-right party, as there was no clear majority of votes.
