Israel Issues An Ultimatum Before Ramadan: Release Hostages or Elsewhere Talks about the IDF Action Hostages are scheduled to resume. However, Israel is putting out a firm line: either the IDF destroys the militants' final stronghold in Rafah during the Muslim Holy month, or Hamas releases those hostages by Ramadan. This is happening as horrifying information regarding Hamas' horrific sexual attacks on Israeli women on October 7th keeps coming to light. The Israeli military claims it is still expanding its operations in the northern Gaza Strip, where the fight against Hamas began months ago. As they moved from building to building, troops could be seen sprinting and firing. Returning to long-stalled negotiations, Israeli negotiators hope to secure the release of around 130 captives that Hamas may still be holding in Gaza. Israel has only resumed discussions because, according to mediators, Hamas has lowered its demands, which include an end to the conflict.
