Millions of Afghan immigrants fear being deported in large numbers from Pakistan.
A million or more Afghans are thought to have been living in Pakistan without proper documentation for many years. However, many of them have been forced to leave after the government started cracking down on immigration in late 2018. They were given until the end of the month to depart, after which they would have to pay a $100 US fee each month.
Tragically, a new threat in Gaza has emerged as life-saving aid. Attempts to seize some of the falling or floating aid resulted in the deaths of nearly a dozen individuals this week.
