On the tenth anniversary of Russia's takeover of Crimea from Ukraine, thousands of people gathered at Red Square in Moscow. Although most nations still recognize Crimea as part of Ukraine, it is a strategically valuable area that gives Russia's navy more access to international waters.

At least 20 Palestinians were killed during an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The Israeli army is stepping up its air and ground operations from the north to the south of the Strip. At least 20 persons were murdered in central Gaza after a nighttime hit on a residence in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Women and children were among those killed and injured. They have been transferred to Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah.
