Israel's north is targeted by fifty rockets fired from Lebanon.
Sirens have reportedly sounded twice in the last thirty minutes, according to the Israeli military. A number of Hezbollah military bases in southern Lebanon were allegedly hit, according to earlier military reports. The military added that a "number of launches from Lebanon" were discovered, although the fire's origins had already been attacked.
Israel initiates investigation into troops killed by 'friendly fire'
According to the Israeli military, five soldiers were killed and seven injured in a friendly fire incident in Jabalia. But Hamas has issued a video claiming that 12 Israeli soldiers were killed. It is the Israeli military's single largest casualty since a restarted ground incursion in northern Gaza.
