Russia's attack on Ukraine kills over a million people.
Russia conducted one of its most significant military operations since the beginning of the conflict by launching more than 150 missiles and drones into Ukrainian territory. In addition to causing power outages that left over a million people without heat or electricity, the strikes also claimed the lives of at least three individuals. They set the largest dam in the nation on fire.
