Microsoft is releasing WordPad from Windows at last, after thirty years. Microsoft has announced that WordPad, a staple Windows application for almost three decades, will not be present in the next Windows 11 releases. The text editing tool was first introduced in Windows 95 and will be phased out completely. In Windows 11, it will not be installed automatically.
