Thousands of Israelis participate in anti-government demonstrations.
In what is the largest anti-government demonstration since Israel began its attack on Gaza, tens of thousands of people have assembled outside the Israeli parliament building in Jerusalem. On Sunday, the demonstrators asked for early elections and demanded that the government negotiate a ceasefire agreement that would include the release of Israeli prisoners detained by Hamas in Gaza. The rally in Jerusalem, according to the demonstrators, was the largest since Israel began its attack on Gaza in October.
Russia attack: Belgorod strikes this week claimed 16 lives.
Over the course of the week, at least 16 people have died in Russia's Belgorod area, which borders Ukraine. During last weekend's presidential elections, the attacks from Ukraine became more intense. Mass evacuations from the area have been announced by the authorities.
