Claudia Sheinbaum is estimated to win Sunday's presidential election with 58.3 to 60.7 percent of the vote, according to the INE's official rapid count. It put her nearest challenger, Xochitl Galvez, who leads a coalition of primarily conservative parties, at 26.6-28.8 percent. The official result will be announced on June 8. Speaking to supporters, Sheinbaum said her competitors, Galvez and Maynez, had called her and acknowledged her victory.
