According to the World Food Programme, flash floods in Baghlan, Afghanistan's northern region, have killed more than 300 people. Thousands of homes have also been destroyed. Emergency personnel are hunting for survivors in Baghlan province.

According to authorities, 50 passengers on four minibusses that were traveling to a hotel in a national park in Hualien are reported missing.
