US earthquake: A 4.8-magnitude earthquake strikes New Jersey and New York
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that an earthquake of magnitude of 4.8 shook the northeastern US on Friday morning, causing vibrations to travel down the Atlantic coast between Boston and Philadelphia. The earthquake's epicenter was in Lebanon, New Jersey, about 45 miles (72 km) west of New York City. The quake caused buildings in crowded Manhattan and all five boroughs to tremble.
