At the Kuwait roundabout, which connects the north and south of the strip by a major road, thousands of people were assembling. Witnesses claim that Israeli soldiers opened fire on crowds using helicopters, tanks, and drones; Israel's military has assaulted this area on several occasions.

On Wednesday, February 28, the Ghanaian parliament approved a contentious bill that would significantly curtail LGBTQ rights in the nation. This comes only one week after the parliament rejected a proposal to soften some of the bill's provisions, which included non-custodial sentences like counseling for gay sex instead of jail time.
