Tens of thousands of protesters carried signs reading "Ceasefire now," "End genocide," and the well-known Palestinian catchphrase, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," as they marched through the heart of London on Saturday. The pro-Palestinian demonstration clogged the streets between the Houses of Parliament and Russell Square. The demonstration was passed by a smaller group of less than 100 pro-Israel supporters, who waved British and Israeli flags and performed dancing music after around ninety minutes. The UK is preparing for next month's general election, which coincides with the march. Protesters also claim that the vote will be impacted by the Gaza War.

Scientists express concern over the rapid rise in levels of methane.
According to NOAA on Friday, carbon dioxide, the most significant and abundant greenhouse gas created by humans, rose in 2023 to the third-highest level in 65 years of record keeping. Scientists are particularly concerned about the quick rise in methane concentrations in the atmosphere, a more powerful but shorter-lived gas that traps heat. See to learn more.
