Ramadan's first day is "difficult," according to English instructor Mahmoud Al-Qeshwi of Rafah, who told Al Jazeera that food is still hard to come by and costs "ten times" as much as before the war. Working at a free volunteer food kitchen, he claimed to serve hot meals to "tens of thousands" of displaced families daily.
