DDA says that the 13th-century Akhunji Masjid in Mehrauli, Delhi, was demolished because it was situated on restricted forest property. Earlier this week, the DDA destroyed a historically significant mosque in Mehrauli, Delhi. Authorities at the mosque claimed they were not notified in advance.
