This is the third F-16 Fighting Falcon collision off the west coast of South Korea since May 2023.
Over the Korean Peninsula, an American F-16 fighter jet had an in-flight problem and crashed early on Wednesday. According to the US Air Force force stationed there, the pilot was saved.

Late on Friday, a massive explosion shook a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) military installation south of Baghdad, two PMF and two security sources told Reuters. According to the two security sources, the explosion occurred on Friday night at around midnight as a result of an unidentified airstrike. The two PMF sources noted that while there were no injuries due to the strikes, there was material damage. According to PMF sources, the strikes were aimed at the PMF headquarters located at the Kalso military installation, which is close to the town of Iskandariya, approximately 50 kilometers south of Baghdad.
