US State Department calls Iran's attack "reckless and irresponsible."

"It's crucial to stand back and remember that we strongly condemn this careless and reckless attack by the Iranian regime. We are steadfastly committed to Israel's security and their right to self-defense." Iran claims that the attack it carried out over the weekend was a response to Israel attacking its consulate in Damascus; nonetheless, Patel contended that the scope of Iran's action qualified as a "violation". “The United States is still assessing the status of this facility [Iran’s consulate]. I don’t have any update to offer related to that. Still, again, the sheer number of ballistic missiles and drones that Iran unleashed on Israel is irresponsible and reckless.”
