In Pakistan, a suicide attack on Chinese engineers claimed six lives.
Six persons were killed when a suicide bomber crashed a car into a group of Chinese engineers in Northwest Pakistan who were working on a dam project. In the last seven days, there have been three significant assaults against Chinese interests in the South Asian nation. Beijing is investing billions of dollars in infrastructure projects in the southwest province of Balochistan, where the first two attacks targeted a significant port and a Pakistani naval air base. The question of whether China will insist on sending its troops to Pakistan to defend its assets is the critical one.
