Akpe and Johnson discuss how some African traditions and a male-dominated industry work together to keep women out of the technological mainstream. Thus, the a need to establish an organization similar to African Women in Technology. Akpe also discusses the real-world obstacles that women frequently face while attempting to enter the tech industry.
